<>Walk With The Lord>
<>Gen 5:21-24, 6:9-10 & 22;
Mal. 2:4-7>
<>Gen 5:21-24 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years,
and became the father of Methuselah. 22 Then
Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of
Methuselah, and he
had other sons and daughters.
23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24
Enoch walked with God;
and he was not, for God took him. NAS>
<>Gen. 6:9-10 & 22 9 These are the records of
the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous
man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. 10 Noah became the
father of three sons:
Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he
did. NAS>
Mal 2:5-7 5 "My covenant with him was one of life and peace,
and I gave them to him as an
object of reverence; so he revered Me and stood in awe of My name. 6 "
True instruction was in
his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked with
Me in peace and
uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity. 7 "For the lips of
a priest should preserve
knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is
the messenger of the
LORD of hosts. NAS
<>Introduction
Can you and I be people known to walk with God? If you answer yes, then
why would it >not be true that we walk with Him?
I do not believe God permits some to walk with Him while
refusing that privilege to others. The choice is ours and We must Desire
To Walk With God

Let me give a good example. Recently my 13 year old grandson in Florida
asked one of His
teachers about starting a Bible Club before school. The teacher told
him, "I have been praying
for seven years that a student would ask me about doing that, and
you're the first to ask." His
dad told him son you may get some ridicule, or someone making fun of
you for that action; and
my grandson answered, "it has already started.">

For A Bad Example it seems one news cast after another reports a bazar
happening that
demonstrates unrighteousness.>
Did you hear about the Assistant Football Coach and the
Cheerleading coach who through a party
that included some students? It seems the coaches had booze for
everyone to drink, and toped it
off with a display by a freshman student who proceeded to frolic around
topless.
The coach of the cheerleaders posed with the student for the
internet. School superintendent
Charlene Thomas says 19-year-old assistant football coach Andrew
Emerson held the party at his
house last weekend. Officials say neither coach taught in the Goshen
school district, and
declined to say where they coached.
Applications
Where did this happen? San Francisco, Hollywood, or New York
City? No! It happened in
Goshen Ohio.
Do you think Noah got criticism because he chose personal
righteousness that contrasted with the
people of his day? The text gives a great compliment to Noah as it
tells us, "Noah walked with
God." Noah preferred this kind of conduct. His actions no doubt
affected his parental
achievements.

When we read about the building of the ark we might over look the
difficulty of the task. But God gave Noah an enormous task. How would
you like a similar assignment today? God
did give the details for the design of the ark; and that made it a
little easier. Noah knew why such
a ship was needed primarily through the description God gave of the
pending flood. No doubt
Noah received additional motivation for this task knowing it included
safety for his family. Noah
in a dutiful manner did everything God commanded, and did it in a
commendable manner. In all
of Noah's life to this point we see a man who challenges us to Aspire
To Walk With God. Amen? Amen!>
Application
How often do we see people living in a way that demonstrates an
awareness of God's commands
and judgements? Do you remember the words from the New Testament, ". .
. His commands are
not a burden" 1 John 5:3. When a person Aspires to walk with God
His commandments are a
delight, and obedience produces harmony and joy.

4 "Then you will know that I have sent this
commandment to you, that My >covenant may continue with
Levi," says the LORD of hosts. 5 "My covenant with him was one
of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so
he revered Me and stood
in awe of My name. 6 " True instruction was in his mouth and
unrighteousness was not found on

many back from iniquity. 7
