THE TRUTH ABOUT
TONGUES I Corinthians 14:1-40
It is not helpful to the entire body unless there is an
interpretation. Verse 5
- Emphasizing tongues is selfish. Verses

- Seeking the gift of tongues is never encouraged. v 12-17, &

It is a gift given by God. Verse 18
a. Never forced on one person by another.
Tongues are given primarily to warn the

SEVEN RULES CONCERNING THE SPEAKING
IN TONGUES I Corinthians 14:26-40
- Tongues, like every other gift, must
be done to edify the church. v.26
