SEVEN SAYINGS from the CROSS

Jesus spoke seven times from the cross. In these sayings there is a volume of theology. It is the theology of the cross. Our theology must hold true at the cross. If one goes to the cross, and has to then add special foot notes to adjust their theology, they need a new theology. The cross is not an after thought for God. He knew this cross would happen before He began His work of creation. This is the place where the lamb is slain before the foundation of the world.

I want to present these sermons as sayings of theology. If you have never preached this series of sermons I encourage you to do so. I would advise you to read through all the sermons before starting the series.   Some sayings lend them self to a Sunday Morning worship experience. Some sayings would be better on Sunday, or Wednesday Night. We Preach Him when we preach the cross. Amen? Amen!
